The organisation was known as the Vlaamse Boekverkoperbond until the end of 2009. As an association, the VVB looks after the interests of its members in various areas, notably by representing the voice of the Flemish bookselling trade through several actions which involve other partners like, for instance, the government agencies. The VVB also organizes training courses, study, and information for its members.
